WDYWT: Nike SB Eric Koston
Was doing the laundry today, so I did the whole no sock thing and I did not like the feeling. I just realized that I need more ankle socks.
My friend Nicholas Fung inspired me to do an elephant print custom, but it didn’t come out as clean as his. So I salvaged it, and did a little extra. I used a soldering iron to do the elephant print, then used a Sharpie Oil Based Paint Pen to do the outlines. The problem with the pen I used was it was too thick so the outline was too thick. So to counter the little mistake, I used black Fiebing’s Suede dye. I’m really happy the way it turned out, but if I ever come across a cheap pair I would want to give it another shot because I think I could do a much better job at replicating the elephant print.
First Pick-Up for March…
I gave up buying shoes for lent, but ended up acquiring these through a trade with a friend. Seriously adding one more Koston to the lineup makes me question why I still have dunks.
I took a chance today wearing these since the weather forecast said it was going to rain. When I left my house it wasn’t raining, but when I got to school it was pouring pretty hard. When I got out of my car, the rain stopped for a moment and right when I got to class it started to rain again. When I left class to go back to my car it was just sprinkling lightly, and when I started driving home the rain picked up again. If only my luck could transfer over to winning the lotto.
It’s been awhile since I last worn these, and figured I would wear these to run a few little errands with my girlfriend.
My Valentines gift from my girlfriend arrived last night via UPS. These are probably my new favorite Koston’s. Now all I need are the Green ones and I’m set
